At Used Engines Store, we offer free nationwide shipping on all engines and transmissions throughout the United States. This policy explains our shipping process, delivery timelines, and what to expect when your order arrives.

FREE NATIONWIDE SHIPPING

We provide free shipping on all orders:
• No minimum order required
• Covers all 50 U.S. states including Alaska and Hawaii
• Professional freight service included
• Liftgate service included for residential deliveries at no extra charge

PROCESSING AND DELIVERY TIME

Order Processing:
• Orders placed before 2 PM MST Monday-Friday are processed the same business day
• Orders placed after 2 PM MST or on weekends/holidays are processed the next business day
• Processing time: 1-2 business days after payment confirmation
• Processing times exclude weekends and federal holidays

Shipping Time:
• Transit time: 3-5 business days after order is processed and shipped
• Shipping begins immediately after processing is complete

Total Delivery Window:
• Processing (1-2 business days) + Shipping (3-5 business days) = Total delivery: 4-7 business days from order placement
• Alaska and Hawaii: May require 7-14 additional business days due to carrier routing
• Remote areas: May require 5-10 business days due to limited carrier access

Important Notes:
• Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
• While we aim for 4-7 business days, delays up to 14 business days may occur due to carrier delays, weather, traffic, or other factors beyond our control
• If your order hasn't arrived within 14 business days, contact us immediately and we will investigate with the carrier

Business Days Definition:
• For purposes of this policy, "business days" are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays observed in the United States

FREIGHT CARRIERS

We use the following certified freight carriers:
• FedEx Freight
• R&L Carriers
• AAA Cooper Transportation
• UPS Freight
• Other certified LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers as needed, which may include XPO Logistics, Saia Inc., or similar carriers

Carrier Selection:
• We select the most efficient carrier based on your location and product availability
• If you have a carrier preference, contact us at support@usedenginesstore.com before order confirmation
• We cannot guarantee specific carrier selection

All shipments use commercial LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carriers specializing in heavy equipment delivery, ensuring proper handling and insurance coverage.

LARGE ITEM DELIVERY

Professional Freight Service:
• All engines and transmissions ship via professional freight carriers
• Freight carriers specialize in heavy, oversized shipments
• All shipments are insured for full replacement value
• Carriers maintain liability insurance in accordance with DOT regulations

Liftgate Service:
• Liftgate service (hydraulic lift for ground-level delivery) is included at no extra charge for residential addresses
• Liftgate allows safe delivery without requiring a loading dock
• Commercial addresses with loading docks may not require liftgate service

Delivery Appointment:
• The freight carrier will contact you 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a delivery appointment
• You must confirm your availability for the scheduled delivery window
• Deliveries typically occur during business hours (8 AM - 5 PM local time)
• If you miss the carrier's call, they will attempt redelivery the next business day

GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE

United States Coverage:
• We ship to all 50 states within the United States
• Delivery is available to residential and commercial addresses
• Alaska and Hawaii deliveries may require 7-14 additional business days

Address Requirements:
• Standard residential and commercial addresses accepted
• PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, and military bases require special arrangements - contact us before ordering
• Gated communities, HOA-restricted properties, and buildings with loading restrictions may require special arrangements
• Remote area surcharges may apply for deliveries outside major metropolitan regions (you will be notified before order confirmation)

International Shipping:
• We currently do not offer international shipping
• Orders with international addresses will be cancelled and refunded

PACKAGING AND PROTECTION

Professional Packaging:
• All engines and transmissions are secured on wooden pallets
• Wrapped in heavy-duty plastic shrink wrap
• Secured with steel straps to prevent shifting during transit
• Packaged to prevent damage during handling and transportation

Pallet Removal:
• The freight carrier will remove the pallet upon delivery
• If you prefer to keep the pallet, notify the driver at delivery
• Pallet disposal is your responsibility if you choose to retain it

DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Signature Required:
• An adult signature (18+ years old) is required for all deliveries
• Someone must be available during the scheduled delivery window
• Signature waivers are not available due to the high value and specialized nature of engine/transmission shipments

Delivery Inspection:
• Inspect packages within 1 hour of delivery while the freight carrier is present
• Check for visible damage including: dents, cracks, leaks, broken seals, or any external damage to the pallet or packaging
• Note any visible damage on the freight carrier's delivery receipt before signing
• Take photos of any damage immediately

Delivery Receipt:
• The signed delivery receipt from the freight carrier serves as proof of delivery
• Keep this receipt for warranty claims
• Your 6 Month warranty period begins on the delivery date shown on this receipt

TRACKING

Tracking Information:
• You will receive tracking information via email within 24 hours of shipment
• Track your package in real-time using the provided tracking number
• The carrier will send you a delivery appointment notification 24-48 hours before arrival
• Your tracking email will include the carrier's contact information for rescheduling or special instructions

DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

If Product Arrives Damaged:

DO NOT refuse delivery - Accept the shipment and note damage on the delivery receipt

Immediate Steps:
1. Note all visible damage on the freight carrier's delivery receipt before signing
2. Take clear photos of:
   - Damaged packaging
   - Damaged product
   - Delivery receipt showing damage notation
   - Pallet and shipping materials
3. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery:

Our Response:
• We will file a carrier claim on your behalf
• While the claim is processed (typically 10-15 business days), we will provide a free replacement or full refund at your option
• Free prepaid return shipping label provided for damaged items

DELIVERY FAILURES AND REDELIVERY

Failed Delivery Attempts:
• If you're unavailable during the scheduled delivery window, the carrier will attempt redelivery within 2 business days
• After 3 failed delivery attempts, the shipment will be returned to us
• You will be charged return shipping costs unless the failure was due to carrier error

Refused Shipments:
• If you refuse delivery (except for damaged items), the shipment will be returned to us
• You will be charged return shipping costs

Address Issues:
• If delivery fails due to incorrect or incomplete address information, you will be charged redelivery fees
• Verify your shipping address carefully before placing your order

DELIVERY EXCEPTIONS

Extreme Weather and Natural Disasters:
• During extreme weather events or natural disasters, delivery may be delayed or suspended for safety reasons
• We will notify you of any delays and provide updated delivery estimates
• We are not liable for delivery delays caused by weather, natural disasters, or other force majeure events

Carrier Delays:
• We are not liable for delivery delays caused by carrier delays, traffic, mechanical issues, or other factors beyond our control
• Delays do not entitle you to cancellation or refund unless delivery exceeds 14 business days from order placement

PARTIAL SHIPMENTS

Multiple Shipments:
• Large orders may ship in multiple shipments
• You will receive separate tracking numbers for each shipment
• All shipments will arrive within the stated delivery window (4-7 business days per shipment)

EXPEDITED SHIPPING

Expedited shipping is not available. All orders ship via standard freight service with 4-7 business day delivery.

Carrier Liability:
• Freight carriers are liable for damage or loss during transit
• All shipments are insured for full replacement value
• We will assist with filing carrier claims on your behalf

Our Liability:
• We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, traffic, address issues, or other factors beyond our control
• We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to customer unavailability or incorrect address information
• Risk of loss and title transfer to you upon delivery to the carrier
